John Denver devine stapan pe Top Romantic FM cu celebra piesa a anilor 70' "Annie's Song"

John Denver (născut Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. la 31 decembrie 1943, Roswell,  New Mexico, decedat din pacate pe 12 octombrie 1997 la Monterey Bay,  California) a fost un cântăret si compozitor american de muzică country si folk. Denver este cunoscut publicului din România indirect prin faimoasa interpretare a melodiei "Country roads" ("Drumuri de tară") de către Gil Dobrică în varianta intitulată "Hai acasă".

A fost unul dintre cei mai populari artisti ai anilor 70'. A compus peste 200 de melodii, a cantat peste 300. A spart multe topuri din America, Bilboard 100, topuri de tip western, country sau adult contemporary.

Are 12 discuri de aur si 4 de platina in toata cariera sa.

"Take Me Home, Country Roads", "Annie's Song", "Rocky Mountain High", si "Sunshine on My Shoulders" sunt cele mai cunoscute piese ale sale.

El a jucat si in showuri de televiziune, atat in anii 70', cat si in anii 80'.

A cantat melodii despre statul Colorado, pe care l-a iubit cel mai mult. A trait in Aspen, Colorado, pentru multi ani.

A primit premiul de stat pentru poezie in 1974.

Unul din imnurile statului Colorado este cantat de el, numindu-se "Rocky Mountain High".

Denver a fost un pilot avid dupa curse nebunesti, din pacate asta aducandu-i sfarsitul in 1997, la doar 53 de ani, cand a incetat din viata dupa un accident cu avionul personal.
